Well, I’ve been a busy guy this week after finding a large amount of mold under the linoleum in one of the bathrooms of the house I bought about 6 months ago. Preliminary results are in, and it’s going to cost greater than $4,000 to tear out the tub/shower and find whatever might be leaking and have it all replaced, and that’s before factoring in the cost of the new floor and whatever else might need to be done when Murphy’s Law inevitably jumps into action.
It’s things like these that make one remember Jesus’ words in Matthew 6:19-21…
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
